Alice Liang Laughlin, MS
Alice is a doctoral intern at The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center (AOTC) and a doctoral candidate in the clinical psychology PsyD program at West Chester University, where she also earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology. She has provided psychotherapy in university counseling, private practice, and residential substance use treatment settings, working with clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, post-traumatic stress, substance use disorders, grief, and interpersonal difficulties.
At AOTC, Alice provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions. She also draws from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and person-centered approaches. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and individualized, with an emphasis on helping clients face challenging experiences, build confidence, and move toward lives that reflect their values.
Alice approaches therapy through a multicultural and intersectional framework, recognizing that every clinical encounter is also a cultural encounter. She views cultural humility as an ongoing practice of self-reflection, openness, and genuine curiosity about how clients’ identities, family systems, values, and lived experiences shape their understanding of distress and treatment.
Outside of her professional work, Alice enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and tennis and spending time with friends and family.
